5 Ways We Help You Become a Better Insurance Agent
March 1, 2017
Stepping outside of your comfort zone can be scary, especially when it comes to your career. Luckily, Farm Bureau Financial Services has a great development program in which we support you every step of the way to teach you how to become a successful insurance agent. The attention and respect we give our client/members is a reflection of the attention and respect we show our agents. Discover how Farm Bureau can help you become the best local insurance agent possible.
1. Find Your Way
Taking a leap into a new career can be intimidating, but with Farm Bureau’s Reserve Agent Program, you don’t have to quit your day job. You can ‘try it on for size’ to see if being a local insurance agent is right for you. You will work around your current job’s schedule and make a commission from your insurance sales. The Reserve Agent Program lasts four months and once you’ve completed it, we can decide together if becoming a full-time Farm Bureau agent is the right fit for you.
2. You are Financially Supported
Starting a new career isn’t easy. That’s why Farm Bureau offers financial support by offering additional compensation during the early years with the company. As you become a successful agent and reach assigned property-casualty and life production milestones, we’ll support you each step of the way for the first six months of your career and beyond. We are here to help you succeed!
3. You Don’t Have to Be an Advertising Pro
A major part of starting a business is getting the word out about what you do. However, you don’t need to be a marketing or advertising professional to shine as a local insurance agent. Farm Bureau offers a marketing toolkit, on-call support, and personal websites to help you create a one-of-a-kind insurance brand. It’s important that your community knows who you are and how you can assist them, and Farm Bureau has the tools to make sure that happens.
4. You Can Get Out of the Office
Have you ever wanted to travel to destinations like Ireland, Hawaii, or Australia? With Farm Bureau you can by qualifying for cash bonuses and incentive travel. In fact, the top 15 percent of our agents earn up to $15,000 in incentive awards each year. With a lot of effort and motivation, you might just find yourself at one of these world-class resorts.
5. Your Education Never Stops
Each year, Farm Bureau agents are encouraged to attend the Multiline Sales Conference where they further their agent education and network with other Farm Bureau agents from across a 14-state area. At this event, agents hear from top industry speakers and learn new sales tips to help their business grow. Agents also learn about Farm Bureau updates, network with more than 400 other agents, and learn from exhibitors and Farm Bureau partners. This conference is one of the highlights of Farm Bureau’s continuing education.
The drive and motivation to succeed is what sets our agents apart from others in the industry, and that drive doesn’t go unnoticed. When you work hard and make great strides, we find ways to recognize you and aid you in continuing your success. Farm Bureau will be there for you through setbacks and to celebrate milestones.
