Why did you choose to become a Farm Bureau agent?
I come from a ranching heritage, and Farm Bureau was essentially the only insurance company that I’ve known. When I was offered the position, I jumped on it. It seemed like the natural path for my career to take in my hometown.
Tell me about what you’re looking forward to most in 2015?
I look forward to expanding, growing and continuing to learn with Farm Bureau. I’ve found a lot of joy in my career, and I look forward to using that to enhance my business and my relationships with my community, client/members and other agents.
Favorite part of your day as a Farm Bureau agent?
My favorite part is meeting people. My close friends and family always tell me that I can make friends with anyone, but I was still pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to talk about Farm Bureau and our products/services because I fully support and believe in them.
What do you enjoy most about your free time?
I spend most of my free time with family and friends at their ranches. I enjoy spending time outside on my family’s ATV or just on the porch enjoying the gorgeous Arizona weather with good company or a good book.
What do you think it takes to succeed as a Farm Bureau agent?
My manager and our RVP told me in order to become a successful agent is to meet as many people as you can. They were so right – you must take the career by the horns and get out there.
Do you have any pets?
I have a Maltese and a Shitzu. They are two tiny dogs that I absolutely adore.
What does your typical day look like as a Farm Bureau agent?
My typical day starts with lots of coffee, checking my email, and my agent website. I like to get ahold of any high-priority business first thing – this allows me know that all my current client/members are taken care of before spending my afternoon prospecting and meeting with potential clients.
Where did you go on your last vacation?
My last vacation was to Rocky Point, Mexico. It was my first time enjoying Mexico at a resort, and it was a blast. Tons of delicious food, warm ocean, and moonlight kayaking.
