This is the time of year for graduations, and at Farm Bureau, we congratulate our own graduating class of Developing Agents who are now full-time agents! These steps aren’t taken lightly, and the effort our Developing Agents make shows a commitment to serve their communities and run their own businesses. What Is a Developing Agent?

Once you are accepted to train to become a Farm Bureau agent, you are designated as a Developing Agent for Farm Bureau Financial Services. Don’t worry, initially you can keep your day job, so you can take some time to find out what running your own business is like and decide if it is the right path for you. Developing Agents work on commission — Farm Bureau will support you during the early years, providing an opportunity to get immersed in the world of business without major risk.

What Happens When I Graduate?

Once you complete the Developing Agent Program, you are ready to become a contracted agent! Luckily, Developing Agents graduate to full-time agents every month, so you can start the application process at any time of the year. The skills you learn as a Developing Agent will guide you through the beginnings of running your own Farm Bureau business and set you up for success!
